Victoria: What made you enter the field of interactive media aka DreamSculpt?
Jared: I have been working as a media artist since the late 1970s when I lived in NYC and combined video art, music and print media. I am passionate about self-expression and helping other wake up their creative power.
For the past ten years I have worked as a ‘vision catalyst’ consulting with individuals and organizations wanting to create their own media. As a published author I wanted to find a more kinetic way to express myself and created the M2ebook. It was a great way to integrate audio, video and text and called it the M2ebook (mini -media ebook). Here is a sample of an M2ebook for an author. View Pamela Jo McQuade
Victoria: You're passionate about calling this a "personal revolution" for all. How can we benefit from your services? How do I harness your services in my own business?
Jared: When I talk about The Personal Media Revolution, I am referring to the access we now have to create electronic media and distribute it via the web. This has changed the playing field and blurred the lines between interpersonal communication and mass communication. Our DreamSculpt team works with our clients to develop their own personal media strategy so that they can articulate their message in a compelling and distinct way.
For instance, if you wanted to present your business on the web and tell a story to attract people in your target market, we could create an M2ebook that could be given out on the web to attract new clients. We would create your ‘personal media strategy.
Victoria: I've explored your interactive books and love 'em! I like the interaction, links to videos. I believe this is an invaluable tool for authors to promote their books and increase sales. For authors, how do they go about having this produced and then distributed?
Jared: For an unpublished author we can help them develop their concept as well as write and publish their book. We then can create an M2ebook to drive advanced sales, months before your publishing date.
For published authors we can distill your book down to 20 pages of text, add audio commentary and video clips to produce a very unique presentation of their book that will lure their audience. In addition, we can create a social media campaign to drive the free distribution of your M2ebook to make it to go viral.
Victoria: I sense that this interactive media (DreamSculpt) would be equally a unique tool for companies to send out, for instance, an interactive press release or digital media kit. Readers can quickly engage by clicking on links, listening to audio or watching a video.
Jared: This is a perfect tool for companies that want to educate and entertain while they market their product and service. The M2ebook is prefect to create the right messaging to position a mission driven company. And, DreamSculpt can be used by an individual to create their personal branding – and could be a great resume in the form of a book.
Victoria: DreamSculpt is a versatile product. Are you working on additional projects?
Jared: I am working with documentary film makers to create M2ebooks as a way share the story and share their initiatives or call to action. It’s a great way to share select clips from their film. DreamSculpt eventually will be making short films as well as M2ebooks. I am also working on a book called The Personal Media Revolution.
Victoria: You have a busy schedule! What does it takes to be a successful entrepreneur; particularly within our digital andsocial media revolution?
Jared: Success should not only be measured quantitatively, but additionally qualitatively. I think if your cutting edge, you may not make the headlines today – but you are cutting the cloth for new directions. The key is to be cutting edge and leading edge. So, if you are using digital media in a new way, then you have to educate people how and why they should use your product or service in the easiest way. Also, you need to let go of control and stop trying too hard to make it happen. Stay with the creative passion an you will attract the right partners.
Victoria: If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. With whom would it be?
Victoria: Thank you, Jared. We have your YouTube video interview embed here for our readers to learn more about you and DreamScultp. We look forward to seeing your new DreamSculpt releases. Keep us posted.
